Domaine Ginestous is idyllically and quietly situated just below a hill top at an altitude of 500 metres, near the little village of La Bastide l'Evêque, in beautiful countryside, surrounded by woods and several streams and rivers.

Originally Domaine Ginestous was a little hamlet with seven cottages. In the past years we've renovated several of these buildings. One of them we can offer you now as a holiday home. We preserved the original character of this house. You can relax here to your heart's contentment and enjoy the beautiful scenery; or go for a walk in the area (there are several footpaths), go biking, or visit some of the most beautiful villages of France .

 

Our 11 ha estate contains a forest with lots of chestnut - and beech trees, but also various grasslands with sheep, springs, a vegetable garden, an orchard and a brook running through the woods with some cascades in it.
Every season offers a new and spectacular sight. You will marvel at the magnificent, breathtakingly varied view in spring, summer, autumn and winter.
As it is situated in the south of France , you can sit on the terrace and enjoy your meal ‘al fresco' even in November. January and February are the coldest months and there may even fall some snow. But on those days you often have clear skies and sunshine. It takes you an hours' drive to the county of Cantal or a two hours' drive to the Pyrenees to go skiing.
